Most people retexture something small like the mailboxes or the magazines. The thing with New Vegas mods are that some people don't want to commit months of their lives to make gigantic texture packs that overhaul the entire game.
Note that this guide is not going to cover every texture mod for New Vegas because that would take forever and have to be updated on a monthly basis. Some of those mods are required for some of the mods in this guide.
